Alex, the mechanic, did a fix on my heater. It wasn't working at purchase, but is mostly working now... sometimes it randomly doesn't work. He said that come Winter, if the heat isn't working... for me to let their shop know and they could look into it further.

They were easy to work with and got me the vehicle that I wanted. I would recommend bringing a mechanic with you to look at the vehicles because I did have some repairs that I had to pay right away... a fluid leak, etc.

I was very Impressed with the quality of service I got while buying my new Chevy Malibu! Pat was very kinda, and very patient with myself, and my family during my car buying experience. He answered all of my questions with a very polite and respectful attitude! I'm very pleased with the car I bought and would definitely buy here again!

I purchased a 2012 Chevy Malibu in June 2017. On my way home from the dealership (I live almost 2 hours away) I realized that the car was shaking a bit so I called the dealership. They asked me to bring the car back another day and they would look at it. I brought it back and they indicated it had been fixed. On my way home again, the car was still shaking. I had a mechanic friend look at the car and it was discovered that the tires were in bad shape and were not suited to be even driven on. I contacted the dealership and they asked me to bring the car back again and they would replace the tires. I was very happy with the service I was receiving. The tires were replaced and I was on my way again. However, the car was still shaking. This time the dealership sent someone with a loaner car to come and pick up the car from me instead of me driving to there again. This was most appreciated. The dealership had my car for a week and it was discovered that one of the rims was bent. I still wonder how this was not found when they replaced the tires. They were again helpful and replaced the rim. After all of this, I thought the car was finally good. It is now October and approximately a month ago the front end starting rattling and shaking. I again asked a mechanic friend to look at the car and now I am told the struts, breaks and other parts in the front end need to be replaced at a cost of at least $700.00 for just the parts. To say I am disappointed to hear this is an understatement. I understand the car is used but I would not expect to have this much trouble with a car five months after purchasing it. I am expecting a baby in February and I do not even feel safe driving the car at this point it is rattling and shaking so much. I was very pleased with the reviews I read regarding Van Horn but I now regret purchasing from them and would not encourage anyone else to purchase from them.

Pat was upfront and honest and made the process as painless as possible. There were no high-pressure sales tactics- just a guy working to put someone in a car he can afford.

There were a few mechanical issues with my car (as is normal around 60K miles). I needed the car right away and Pat and his crew were very accommodating in ordering parts and working around my schedule to have the service done. Everything was fixed and wrapped up in one day- which included a loaner car in the meantime.

Don't let the "budget auto" stereotype keep you away- this place is firing on all cylinders.

I originally rated this review 5 stars, but after I've had some time to gather my thoughts I changed it to 3 stars - it's easy to get a vehicle here with bad credit but you will pay 3 times the value of your car PLUS interest. The KBB value of my car is only $3,200, but I paid $11,000 plus high interest. That's almost criminal.

I initially gave a great review to Van Horn, but now that I've had time with my car I'm finding that these folks definitely fit the old cliche of untrustworthy used car salesmen. In the 6 weeks I've had my car I've found so many things wrong with it. I called once to lodge my complaints and natrually they told me that these things must have happened since I drove the car off the lot. Since I only put 25 miles a week on my car it's doubtful I can do much damage. They tried to save face by telling me they would send me a Kwik Trip gas card. Of course that was 3 or 4 weeks ago and I have yet to receive it. I'm sure they will say they promptly mailed it and there is something wrong on my end. To put it simply, they are liars! I would NOT recommend buying a car from here. If you decide you must buy a car from here make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb before you sign anything. I'll never purchase a vehicle from them again. As the old saying goes "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is." I guess I'm old school and take a person for his word. Unfortunately, I was in too much of a hurry and I'm paying for it now while they are laughing all the way to the bank!

I bought a vehicle here on 8/9/2016 (very recently). Pat was a great salesperson and Brandon, the general manager, was kind.

I was very happy with my experience and wouldn't hesitate to refer someone I know to Sheboygan County Budget Auto.

I will most likely buy another vehicle from them in a couple years. I finally feel safe driving on the highway.

For the first time in 10 years, I needed a new car (not new, but new to me). What brought me here was that there were mechanically-sound and low-mileage cars within my price range in addition to number of overwhelmingly good online reviews about the dealership.
